Manage local database allocations, configure backup schedules, and migrate application-level settings.

Storage Transparency Panel

Open Settings → Storage to view disk allocations:
  • IndexedDB usage: Shows the total size of all imported media blobs stored in your local application database.
  • LocalStorage usage: Shows the size of tree structures and text nodes.
  • Orphaned Media Cleanup: If you delete nodes or remove gallery slots, their underlying files can sometimes remain cached. Click Cleanup to search and delete unreferenced media blobs, freeing disk space.
  • Database Compression: Compresses text indices to reduce storage footprints.

Autosaving & Dirty States

  • Autosave: FlowJoe saves edits to LocalStorage and IndexedDB automatically as you type. There is no manual “Save” button for everyday work.
  • Export-Impact Dirty State: If you make edits, the app tracks changes that have not yet been exported to your project folders or backups. A yellow indicator on the app title bar reminds you to run a backup before closing if pending changes are high.

Preferences Import/Export

You can back up your application-level configuration:
  • Preferences bundle: Contains settings maps, global theme selections, audio player configurations, and saved playlists.
  • API Keys Export: You can opt to exclude API keys from export bundles to prevent accidentally sharing credentials in public files.
