Status Bar (Footer)

The status bar is the thin strip pinned to the bottom of the FlowJoe window. It is always available while visible, so you can monitor the flow and change a few common choices without digging through Settings. Show or hide it under Settings → Appearance → Status Bar (on by default). Layout (left cluster, then right cluster): Left: Stats · Save · Joe brain

What you can monitor

Segment	What it shows
Stats	Total nodes in the flow and total gallery slots (across the whole tree, not only the selected node). Read-only.
Save	Save health: clean / unsaved changes (with pending count when available) / still loading storage / blocked when the workspace cannot save.
Joe brain	Active Joe model or CLI brain name (and brand mark).
Tasks	Always visible. Shows the count of scheduled tasks, or No tasks when empty (the segment stays on the bar either way).
Theme	The effective theme for the selected node (node override when set; otherwise the global Appearance theme). With no node selected, shows the global theme.
Language	Current interface language.
Shortcuts	Keyboard shortcuts entry point.

What you can change quickly (click)

Click	What happens
Joe brain	Opens an in-bar menu of available brains — OpenAI models (GPT-6 Luna, Sol, Astra; GPT-5.6 Luna, Terra, Sol) and, on desktop, CLI brains (Fable 5.1, Opus 5, Sonnet 5, Haiku, Grok, Antigravity) when the matching CLI is installed and signed in. Unavailable options are dimmed with a short reason (e.g. no API key, not signed in). Choosing one updates the same preference the Joe chat window uses.
Save	Saves / exports the flow when changes are pending (same family of action as Ctrl/Cmd+S / Export flow).
Tasks (clock)	Opens Settings → Tasks so you can manage scheduled runs.
Theme	Opens an in-bar theme picker for the selected node (same theme list as the node Theme Manager). You can pick a node theme or restore the global theme for that node. With no node selected, the control reflects / sets the global Appearance theme.
Language	Opens an in-bar language picker (same 20 UI languages as Settings → Appearance → Language). Changes interface language only — not your notes or files.
Shortcuts	Opens the keyboard shortcuts legend (K does the same).

Tips

The status bar is for fast checks and frequent switches (brain, node theme, language, dirty state). Full detail for each area still lives in the matching Settings tab or node tools.
On desktop, opening a footer popover ducks the native browser view so the menu stays visible.
If the bar is missing, turn Status Bar back on under Settings → Appearance.
