Your data belongs to you. FlowJoe has no tracking servers. Your AI keys are stored locally in your operating system’s secure keychain, and AI calls are made only when you explicitly ask Joe for assistance.

📁 Direct File System Compatibility

Unlike apps that lock data inside a single database file, FlowJoe’s folder structure makes your project fully compatible with external tools. You can point your own backup scripts at it, or commit changes natively using Git.

Portable & Open Data

You are never locked into FlowJoe. We make it easy to move, export, and copy your data:
  • Clipboard Portability: You can right-click any node and copy its entire outline as clean JSON metadata to paste anywhere.
  • Data Backup: Export your whole project as a lightweight .json structure or a full .fj package containing all your media assets zipped up.
  • Tree and Text Data: Serialized as JSON and saved locally in your Electron application user profile.
  • Media Blobs: Indexed and stored in your device’s local database (IndexedDB) for fast retrieval.
  • Workspace folders: Workspaces map this structure directly to a folder on your filesystem (containing flow.json and a media/ folder), making it compatible with Git and external backup systems.
