The Calendar Workbench integrates FullCalendar into a slot, letting you schedule, drag, and structure events side-by-side with research materials.

Intakes & Imports

You can import schedules in several shapes:
  • Import ICS/iCal: Drag-and-drop a .ics or .ical calendar file. FlowJoe displays a prompt letting you import it as:
    1. A Calendar Slot (interactive FullCalendar workbench).
    2. A Stack of event cards.
    3. Individual Event Nodes created under the selected parent.
  • New Blank Calendar: Click New Calendar from the gallery menu.

Interactive Timeline Editing

Double-click a Calendar slot to open the FullCalendar workbench:
  • Multiple Views: Switch between Month, Week, Day, and Agenda List views.
  • Manage Events: Create new events, rename titles, or delete events.
  • Drag & Resize: Drag event cards to change dates, or drag block edges to resize duration. Changes write back to the underlying ICS format.
  • Exporting: Save calendars back to a standard .ics file.

Joe Integration

Joe receives calendar agendas as parsed, readable text:
  • Planning: Ask Joe “Find conflicts in my schedule next week” or “Draft an itinerary for Tuesday.”
  • ICS Preservation: FlowJoe keeps the original source .ics file preserved in the slot metadata, allowing round-trips without data loss.
